A glorious son of a god, named with Theseus among the older heroes Odysseus hoped, but failed, to see in the underworld.

A hero of the older generation whom Odysseus hoped to see beside Theseus. He never does: the crowding, gibbering dead and the fear of the Gorgon's head drive him back to his ship first.
