A mortal son of Hellen and ancestor of Cretheus, whose line runs through Tyro's sons; distinct from the wind-keeper Aeolus of Book 10.

- The Odyssey §11.216 son of Aeolus
The mortal ancestor whose son Cretheus married Tyro, in the underworld catalogue of women. He is not the wind-keeper Aeolus of Book 10, though the poem gives them the same name.
