god

Selene

also: Σελήνη, the Moon

Goddess of the moon. Hymn 4 calls her 'daughter of lord Pallas, son of Megamedes,' while Hymn 31 makes her instead a daughter of Hyperion and Euryphaessa — a genealogical inconsistency within the collection itself; Hymn 32 hymns her directly and gives her a daughter, Pandia, by Zeus.
